I have lived my entire life at the seashore in Beachwood, New Jersey. Although I was an only child, I grew up in a loving household with two very supportive parents who would always hang my artwork up on the refrigerator and on the walls at their offices. I suppose one could say I spent my childhood in an "artistic" home. My father taught me how to play drums, sing, and appreciate music and the theater arts; my mother would do arts and crafts with me, and create decorations for the house rather than buy them.

At a very young age I realized that I would spend the rest of my life making art, one way or another. My favorite subject in school has always been art, and it became apparent that I was rather skilled. I was the one who "thought out of the box" when it came to class projects, and who constantly tried to express ideas differently, even if it meant doing something the hard way. When I had to choose whether to join the marching band or to take four years of art classes in high school, I chose art. I was voted "Class Artist" for high school superlatives, and participated in the art club, among others.

But art was not the only driving force throughout my life. I have been involved with the performing arts since the seventh grade, when I got my first taste of theater. Although I spent many of those first years backstage, behind the scenes doing makeup for the lead characters and designing sets, I eventually made my way onstage. In my senior year of high school I was given the Lifetime Achievement Award for Technical Theater, as well as "Poster Child" award because I had designed all of the posters for every production.

A few of my other interests include fashion design, jewelry making, international travel, discovering new music, singing, martial arts, and recently dancing. I will try pretty much anything, although my forte is digital illustration and computer graphics. I pick up on things quickly, which helps when learning new software. No art form or medium is forbidden to me. In fact, I look forward to new ideas, new programs, and the unknown. I need change in my life, and I am constantly experimenting with new techniques and trying to learn all I can to improve my skills.
